Bow & Arrow, Fool's Gold 2021

Husband-wife duo Scott & Dana Frank are the masterminds behind some of Oregon's newest and most exciting wines. Setting up Bow & Arrow in 2010, they champion biodynamic practices in the winery, meaning their wines receive minimal human (aka chemical) intervention and are a real expression of grape and vineyard. Fool's Gold 2021 is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Sauvignon Blanc - think of it as an American take on the Loire's famous Chevernay wines. It flaunts all the exotic aromas of Sauvignon Blanc; gooseberry, green peppercorn and grapefruit pith; and Chardonnay’s ripe orchard fruit notes of yellow apple and pear. The palate is incredibly mouthwatering and spring-loaded with broad textures of lush yellows and greens that meld into a soft core of wet rock and smashed herbs. A super interesting and delicious wine-lover's wine.
